Boise, Idaho based jazz combo playing cool retro jazz !  

Celebrating America's great original art form, JAZZ; The Midnight Jazz Cats are prowling the stages, music halls, homes, weddings and bars of Boise and the greater Treasure Valley.  "The Cats" and our furry mascot Ella Fitzkitty, fuel our version of swing, jazz standards, bossa novas and Western Swing with swagger, high octane jazz moxie and matching cat ties !  (We live for fashion).  We specialize in jazz of the 1920's through the 1970's.  This five piece juggernaut features Mark Stolpe on upright bass/vocals, Lloyd Blake on drums/vocals, Bob Phillips on keyboard/vocals, Bill Shepherd on reeds and Blake Olson on guitar/vocals.  "The Cats" jump, jive and caterwaul to jazz standards and less familiar swingin' surprises.  We play corporate events, weddings, private events, holiday parties, fundraisers and have even played before former Governor Butch Otter and U.S. Senator Jim Risch at the Festival of Trees Gala dinner!  See how classy we are?    If that's not enough, have your picture taken with Ella and we'll put you on her fan page!   Click here   So please check out the pages of this website for our gig schedule,  clients, song list, videos and photos of our cat ties.
